What is SEO?
Search Engine Optimization is the process or practice of optimizing the website for increasing quality and quantity web traffic to your website/blog through natural/organic mode. In simple words, different natural methods applied to increase the online visibility of the website/web page in the Search Engine Results Page (SERP).
What is SERP?
Search Engine Result Page or SERP refers to the page that is displayed when a specific search query, or keyword is entered over the search engine. Apart from showing a list of results, SERP might also include advertisements. ( For Ex: Google Ads).
What is the difference between SEO and SEM?
SEO is a component of SEM (Search Engine Marketing). SEM includes paid methods ( Advertisements on Digital Platform) of promoting your website/blog for a better online visibility.
Describe what is on-page and off-page optimization?
As the name suggests, On page optimization makes websites stand out in search engine rankings. On-page, optimization is changes done on a live web page. Off-page optimization is changes done to a website offline.

This is the first step of the search engine working process. This process is to fetch all the details, links related to a website/page. It is a continuous process to find new or updated (modified) pages on the web. This crawling process is done by the SPIDERS/CRAWLERS. (These are even called as bots, *Google Bots for Google search engine). These Spiders are software and they perform the task. When crawling starts the crawler visits listed sites, detects links on the pages, changes status of new sites to existing one, records dead links and updated all the data.
